Life Happens and Then You Choose

Every single day, “Life Happens… and Then You Choose!”

Things happen that we did not plan and we have to figure out how to navigate through the challenges.

So often fear tries to stop us. Our Limiting Beliefs and Imposter Syndrome creep in and threaten to put on the brakes.

How do you overcome your fears & challenges when life brings unwelcome surprises?

How do you thrive in an environment where survival is the human instinct?

The answer lies in your mindset and perspective.

I believe, with God, All things are possible, and Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.”

I have learned that even with God’s help, it is a one step at a time process, slow and steady, working through my fear and failures.

Jeanette Coron says, “Don’t let your fear of failure keep you away from your destiny.”

I believe I was created to do something amazing, and I get to choose my path each day.

I love a poem I learned years ago, The Road, Not Taken” by Robert Frost.

“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.”

The main theme of this poem is choices. We all get to choose our path.

We don’t have to do it, like everybody else. We are unique, and our path is unique.

As I always say, “Life happens… and then you choose!”

Even through life’s struggles, you get to choose.

When life takes you by surprise and your road is a bit cooked, pause, take a look at what’s ahead, and just take the next step.

“You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step." - Martin Luther King Jr.

So, go choose today the path less traveled!

Don’t be afraid to be you, unique and authentic.

Keep a good perspective and mindset.

Keep moving forward and don’t let fear stop you!

Remember… “Life Happens… and Then You Choose!”

Blessings!
